Sandusky Valley Nursery the online plant nursery is currently offering an excellent assortment of hydrangea and climbing hydrangea vine shrub seedlings. We have blue, pink, purple, white and red hydrangea seedlings in lace cap and mop-head varieties. Some of these varieties are rather rare and unusual plant seedlings and difficult to find. We are also selling 3 different varieties of climbing hydrangea vine seedlings including pink, white and blue leaf. We look forward to gardening with you and helping you with all your hydrangea needs in your lawn and garden. Goliath Hydrangea This hydrangea is known for is huge blooms and they are free flowering. The are mophead type and are soft pink to light blue depending on soil ph. Parzifal Hydrangea Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Parzifal’. This hydrangea is a very unusual variety with absolutely huge blooms where the individual flowers have fringed sides. The color is variable based on your soil pH. If you grow then plant and want to adjust the color just add a soil acidifier or lime to change the color. At a pH of around 6 it tends to be pinkish-purple to deep blue. It should be planted in good soil with some peat moss added to increase vigor and kept watered especially in the south. Sadie Ray Hardy Hydrangea Hydrangea macrophylla ‘ Sadie Ray’. Here is the most reliable hydrangea available. It was discovered in northern Indiana where it has bloomed for over 50 years. Northern Indiana is zone 5 and has quite cold winters yet this plant comes back and blooms every year. Probably the best hydrangea for zone 5. A good selection for colder areas where other hydrangeas fail to bloom.Blooms will be pink or blue depending on soil pH. Flowers are similar to Nikko Blue. It should be planted in good soil with some peat moss added to increase vigor and kept watered especially in the south.
